October 2022 – What were the challenges of managing an academic journal during the Covid pandemic? And what advices can be given to early-career scholars in a period so complicated as the one we are living in? This month, we discuss these fundamental topics with Alessandra Beccarisi, Full Professor of Medieval Philosophy at the University of Foggia and editor of the Bulletin de Philosophie Médiévale (the official journal of SIEPM).

About Alessandra Beccarisi

Alessandra Beccarisi is full professor of History of Medieval Philosophy at the University of Foggia. Since 2017, she is the General Editor of SIEPM’s publications, in particular of the Bulletin de Philosophie Médiévale and the series Rencontres de Philosophie Médiévale (both published by Brepols). Beccarisi’s scholarly profile has been shaped by various national and international research experiences abroad as a fellow of major institutions in Germany and the US. From 2015 to 2021 she coordinated at the University of Salento the Research Center for the Edition of Medieval and Renaissance Texts (CETEFIL – Unisalento), founded in 2000 by Loris Sturlese. Since 2020, Alessandra is Ambassador Scientist for Italy of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation,
